Hey, who needs a recipe when you have eHow and videos?

A couple of quick notes:

  • The list of ingredients actually only applies to some of the methods
  • Steps 2-6 are actually different cooking methods, not sequential steps
  • For some of the thicker pieces of asparagus, you may want to peel the thicker ends of the stalks with a vegetable peeler — it makes them a little more tender
  • There are a lot more videos on “how to cook asparagus” online, but this is a pretty comprehensive one

Like the Asparagus recipe and love Asparagus . Wow was I surprised to learn that the 1st year Asparagus crop had to be plowed under because you have to wait for the 2nd year to eat Asparagus as the 1st year crop is poison.
