I am from germany and working here as an aupair.
i think fall is my favorite season here.
everything looks really pretty in all the different colors and the weather is really similar to germany too around this time of the year.
fall gives me so many opportunities to do crafts with my kids. we love collecting leaves and acorns and make it into something pretty like a fall dreamcatcher.
we do not have halloween in germany… well at least not as big its kind of swapping over but nobody takes it seriously.
so i am really excited aout that even though i still dont have a costume.
my family just took me apple picking and i hope we gonna go to the pumpkin patch soon.
I never carved a pumpkin so thats something i am really looking forward,too.

I love picking apples and then having a marathon baking and making applesauce. We got 52lbs this year!

There are lots of things that I love about fall. It’s my favorite season. I love watching all the trees change into so many beautiful colors. I love going for a walk and feeling the crisp cool air and the leaves crunching below my feet. I love watching my kids make a big pile of leaves just to jump in them and start all over again. I love helping them make a jack-o-lantern while sipping some apple cider and enjoying a caramel apple. And last but not least, I love our annual trip to the pumpkin patch and taking a hayride.

What don’t I love about the Fall? The cooler weather, the crisp air, Cox Farms, pumpkin carving, Halloween and my favorite thing of all… Thanksgiving.

Fall is my favorite season of the year. Summer ends and the kids are finally in school. The lush greens we enjoy throughout the Spring and Summer suddenly and miraculously change to a beauty of dark oranges and bright vibrant reds. It is nature’s amazing work at its best. The smell of the air is different. It is no longer the scent of summer. It is the beginning of clean, cool scent that when inhaled almost chills your nasal passages. The crisp mornings let’s you know that sitting down with a hot cup of hot chocolate (coffee/tea) is just the thing to do after dropping the kids off at the bus stop. Those light sweaters which have been packed away since early Spring can finally be pulled out and worn. Those warm toasty socks are also ready to be worn around the house. Even though the season only lasts a few weeks, I look forward to it each and every year!!

We love the Big Orange October Moon when it is full. As nights start earlier, it is FUN to take the whole family out for an evening walk in the cool crisp air filled with moonlight.

I love to take the kids to Cox Farms–it’s become a family tradition. We were really pleased with the addition of a corn maze this year–it was just right for smaller kids.
