Madly shopping for “grown-up clothes” at the mall in preparation for a conference I am going to while dragging two small children along with me is not my definition of family fun — but thanks to the kind folks from Chick-Fil-A at Dulles Town Center Mall I found a brief break in the madness Monday evening and you can, too! They have started a new Family Night every Monday night where they will feature a fun activity or artisan in the food court area for their patrons. We were treated to a FABULOUS balloon artist from Dee Vinchey and Friends whom made the most creative balloon creatures I’ve ever seen (a really cute bunny for Java girl and a space alien for JavaBoy). On Monday the 26th the same company and artist will provide glitter tattoos, and on November 2nd there will be face painting. I think the hours will be 5-7 pm, although it is possible they will change to 6-8pm depending upon mall traffic, so check with Chick-Fil-A. My advice — let the kids get in line early for whatever the attraction is — his or her time there will be limited and they will have to leave at a definite time so there will be a point at which they will need to cutoff the line — you don’t want your child to be the one who misses out!
If you are on Facebook, look for their Facebook page – Chick-Fil-A at Dulles Town Center — to keep abreast (ha! chicken humor!) of their activities.
